OnlyScrans
Food & drink discovery app for a creator with 2M+ audience reach. Architected a serverless backend and shipped iOS + Android from scratch.

I'm Ben — a product engineer based in UK. I embed with founding teams and product orgs to take ideas from the first commit to real users. Eight years of enterprise work. Sole technical founder behind OnlyScrans. Helped lead PLT Marketplace from zero to 150k users.

Embed with your team for a sprint or a year. I learn your domain, your customers, and your codebase — then ship.
Zero-to-one builds. I take a sketch, a Figma, or a half-formed thesis and turn it into a working product in users’ hands.
I help shape the brief, simplify scope, and bring a strong opinion on what will land for users. Engineering is the easy part — deciding what to build is where I add the most value.
React, React Native, TypeScript, Node. Eight years of production work across iOS, Android, and the web.

Replaced screen-level styling with a reusable component system; expanded test coverage and reduced regressions.

“Excellent attitude to work, technically very knowledgeable, a good team player. Helped us set up the whole project and took the team through a successful launch of our Marketplace App. I'd recommend him as a valuable asset to any company.”
A short call. What are you actually trying to do? What’s the constraint, what’s the deadline, what’s the dream?
I write the brief back to you in one page. We agree on what we’re building and — more importantly — what we’re not.
Daily progress, weekly demos. I work in your stack, your repo, your tools. You see momentum every Friday.
Tested code, written docs, a video walkthrough. Your team can take it from here — or I can stay on.
Eight years of shipping production code gave me a strong technical foundation — and with LLMs and AI in the workflow, implementation is less of a bottleneck than it used to be. What still moves the needle is product judgement: asking “why are we building this?” before I open the editor, tightening the brief, and delivering something end-to-end that solves a real problem for real users — not just another feature merge.
